Wedding
ceremony music
Ted Knight plays piano or keyboard for wedding ceremonies, adding flute and cello for the Knight Music Trio.
This chamber music ensemble plays classical favorites, movie themes and light popular selections. See the song list.

For a wedding at the Morikami Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach, it was a keyboard-cello duo. The bride and groom selected an all-Beatles program and Ted wrote custom arrangements for And I Love Her, Here Comes the Sun, and about two dozen other Beatles favorites. Afterward, a reception was held at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Boca Raton with Ted's DJ music. It was a joyous celebration and everyone danced.
Smart setup
Ted often sets up two keyboards to make it a smooth transition from ceremony to reception. The second keyboard and its amp are battery-powered, so they can be used anywhere without extension cords. The amp has a full, rich sound that's surprising for such a compact unit. There is a second input for a celebrant's microphone, which Ted can provide at no extra charge. Beach and garden weddings are a Knight Music specialty.
Strings, trumpet, guitar
Trumpet, violin, and guitar are also available from Knight Music. Arthur Abney's string trio played for Ted's own daughter's wedding in Miami Beach, at left.
Ted added trumpet to the trio for a wedding at the Sundy House Inn in Delray Beach, and played DJ music for the reception.
Guitar was added to the trio for a Valentine's Day wedding at the Key West Hilton. Ted sang Josh Groban's You're Still You, and The Prayer as a duet with vocalist Connie Croteau. Then the flute player switched to sax for cocktail jazz by the water, and finally the party moved inside for dinner and dancing to Ted's orchestra.
It was a keyboard-guitar duo for a beach wedding at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, adding drums for the reception. For another wedding at the club, it was the Knight Music Trio for the ceremony on the lawn, Ted's unplugged jazz sextet for cocktails in the lounge, and his nine-piece orchestra for the reception.
