Big band sound
The Ted Knight Orchestra is a Florida wedding and party band with four horns and a big band sound. The band is available throughout the southeastern U.S. See map.
The mix starts with jazz, blues and standards, adding pop, rock and variety as needed. Music is played by real instruments, without recorded backgrounds. Hear demos.
The orchestra includes trumpet, trombone, and two saxes. Ted Knight leads on keyboard and vocals, and additional vocalists are available.
The group also performs as The Ted Knight Big Band, with ten horns or more, and as The World's Smallest Big Band, with just trumpet and sax.
Ted
also leads a variety of combos. The Convertibles
play rock, reggae and variety with guitar, bass, drums and keyboard.
Knight
Music jazz combos combine piano, bass and drums with horns and/or
guitar. Hear Ted's first album, Beautiful Love,
featuring Paul Magersuppe on sax and Dave Gibble on trumpet. A
new album recorded in 2008

Twenty-piece
big band
The Ted Knight Big Band is the real thing. a true big band with 14 to 20 pieces.
The band plays big band classics by Count Basie, Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington and Frank Sinatra. Pop and rock numbers can be added as needed.
The big band will play a public concert and dance January 18, 2009.
Classical music, DJs
The Knight Music Trio plays chamber music for wedding ceremonies with flute, piano, and cello. Other chamber ensembles are available by referral.
Mobile disc jockey services are also available, either alone or in combination with live music. Knight Music DJs talk less than most, because it's the music that matters.
Venues and clients
Notable venues include the Ocean Reef Club at Key Largo, the Palm Beach Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Saddlebrook Resort and Spa near Tampa, Casa Monica Hotel in St. Augustine, and the Boca Raton Resort and Club.
Repeat clients include the Delray Beach Club, Boca Grande Pass Yacht Club, and Mutual of America, a billion-dollar New York insurance firm.
Clients find Knight Music to be surprisingly affordable. Many brides and grooms say that other bands charge twice as much or more.
