Bob Hanni
Guitarist and vocalist Bob Hanni is one of the most sought-after jazz artists in South Florida.
Born in Montreal, he and Ted first played together in the 1970s when Bob started coming to the Sunshine State for part of each year.
In those days Bob was with the band for a weekly show on Canadian network television, and toured with jazz groups worldwide.
He eventually made Florida his full-time home, playing gigs at the Galt Ocean Mile Hotel, the Riverside Hotel, and Sheffield's Harbor Beach Marriott Hotel.
In
2001, Bob returned to Canada to play for the Montreal Jazz Festival, one
of the world's largest jazz festivals. He is pictured with Canadian
vocalist Cheryl Fisher and saxophonist Eric Allison, another Florida
jazz ace.
It
was about this time that Ted re-discovered his old friend Bob. Since
then Bob has played with Ted's band for corporate gigs at resorts in
Aventura, Key Largo, Naples and Palm Beach.
Bob and Ted were a singing Irish duo for a St. Patrick's Day party at El Cortijo, a luxury condominium in the Town of Gulf Stream. Playing with Ted's ten-piece orchestra for the Navy League Ball at the Sailfish Club in Palm Beach, Bob did jazz solos on numbers like Lullaby of Birdland and It Had to Be You.
