Kevin Campfield
Kevin is that rare performer, a singing drummer who is both a fine singer and an excellent drummer. In demand for jazz gigs in Miami and New York, he's also called to do stand-up vocals at shows of all kinds.
Kevin first sang with Ted Knight's orchestra in 2004, a wedding at on oceanfront house in Delray Beach.
Since
then he's sung with Ted's big band at a wedding at the Boca Raton resort
(left) and a concert at Olympic Heights Theater (right).
Kevin sang and played drums for a wedding with Ted's orchestra in St. Augustine. He's done corporate gigs with Ted at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo and at the Palm Beach Ritz-Carlton.
Although
now he's better-known for jazz and swing, in the 1970s he played and
sang with high-energy show bands. He enjoys using both sides of his
repertoire as the long-time singing drummer with a group at the Hard
Rock Cafe in Hollywood, Florida.
At
left, Kevin sings Disco Inferno with Ted's eleven-piece
orchestra at a country club gala.
He works with Ted's smaller combos at the Delray Beach Club and the Little Club of Gulf Stream. He's featured with the big band at the annual breakfast concert in Lantana. Here are samples of his singing, and he also plays drums on all but the first selection.
